As the child of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, a physician and Thelma Burnell Henson, Michele Carey whose birth name is Michele Lee Henson was born on February 26, 1942 at Annapolis, Maryland in the United States of America. The family moved to Fort Collins in Colorado, after which she graduated from high school education at Fort Collins High School in 1960.
